The ultimate wilderness axe.

• Convex grind into forged phantom bevels. Forged phantom bevels are a feature of axe head geometry that have a taper both down to the bottom and top of the axe head. This feature means the axe is far less likely to ‘stick’ whilst processing timber.
• Integral forged overstrike collar - the collar is forged from the same billet of steel as the whole axe head. This is also heat treated in the same way making it exceptionally durable.
• Blade Length: 125mm- Longer cutting edge, greater longevity in the blade, better versatility when choking the axe head.
• EN9 Scandinavian Medium Carbon Steel- A carbon content of 0.5-0.6% holds sharp edge whilst maintaining toughness to withstand shock during use.
• Large Heat treated Poll (rear face)- Designed for ease in battening wood and hammering wooden tent pegs or wedges.
• Hand Forged.
• Each axe is individually number stamped (001, 002, 003 etc.).
• Hand Stitched Oak Bark Tanned Leather Sheath - Sourced from Tannery in Colyton, Devon.
• Head weight: 4lb/1.8kg - within a hand forged tolerance.
• Traditional European Ash Handle - Strong, low vibration, and provides a little spring.
• Handle finished with boiled linseed oil. Natural, water-resistant finish that enhances the colour of the wood and darkens slightly with age.
