• Deep concave grind into convex face. This feature means the axe is far less likely to ‘stick’ whilst processing timber.
• Blade Length: 120mm- Long cutting edge to reduce workload and reduce sticking.
• EN9 Scandinavian Medium Carbon Steel- A carbon content of 0.5-0.6% holds sharp edge whilst maintaining toughness to withstand shock during use.
• Large Poll (rear face) for striking wooden wedges.
• Hand Stitched Oak Bark Tanned Leather Sheath - Sourced from Tannery in Colyton, Devon.
• Hand forged.
• Each axe is individually number stamped (001, 002, 003 etc.).
• Traditional European Ash Handle - Strong, low vibration, and provides a little spring.
• Handle finished with boiled linseed oil. Natural, water-resistant finish that enhances the colour of the wood and darkens slightly with age.
