All the fire steels are slightly unique but resemble the same ergonomic shape designed to fit the hand perfectly when striking.
Before the invention of matches, percussion fire lighting was often used to start fires by firmly striking a steel against a piece of flint. A spark is created using this method and paired with a suitable tinder .. fire is born 🔥
